We are here to educate students of all ages about the joy of jazz rhythms, harmonies, and improvisation in choral and solo singing settings to create a sense of community and cultural harmony between all generations of singers.
We aim to make connections between traditional jazz and modern American music forms from the African Diaspora(Black American Music) so that we serve all backgrounds and singing levels, but we particularly hope to instill a sense of pride, knowledge and inspiration to black & brown children and adults.
Our programs create community by linking all generations from young to old through various kinds of cultural, solo and choral singing activities, both in person and online, giving all an opportunity to learn, sing, share and build musical appreciation of jazz.
